Mission Statement

NoiseKoncept is a net.label owned and operated by Minnesota-based sound artist Brooks Rongstad (Exuviae). This is a label dedicated to releasing highly artistic experimental and unconventional electronic music. Glitch, noise, ambient, dub, techno, etc. are all great genres of electronic music.

All noiseKoncept releases are available for free download in 192kbps MP3 format. Contents on this site are subject to the copyright of each respective artist. Full permission was given by every artist to be included on this site under a Creative Commons License.

We aren't interested in releasing music that fits too cleanly into any specific category. We enjoy genre-bent, outside the box, multi-elemental sound creations. Our interests are broad, but a few of our preferences should be openly stated:

Noise is cool...Noise is good...We like noise.

BUT...

We are looking for artists that utilize noise and it's many derivatives in new and interesting ways. We are not interested in projects that are nothing more than untamed, ear-shattering walls of noise. Try something different. Projects to be considered for release through noiseKoncept MUST have composition and modulation.

Before submitting any requests for us to check out your stuff, PLEASE give a listen to what we've got going on here. This will help provide you with a case-in-point example of what turns us on musically.

If you've followed the guidelines this far and are of the opinion that we may dig what you do, simply send us an email with a brief note and any pertinent URL(s). If we like what we hear and wish to work with you, we WILL contact you. Depending on the abundance of interesed artists, we MAY NOT be able to respond to everyone with feedback. Please don't take offense if you don't hear back from us; instead, keep working and growing as an artist and perhaps you could try us again down the road.
